The Town of Bear River Home of the many Rices of Digby County 
Bear River NS where most of the Van Tassel Kids of Robina (Rice) Van Tassel spent many happy hours visiting their Uncle Herb Rice brother of Robina who operated a farm in Bear River> I might add also made the best cider in the area.

Is there any way of getting a copy of the picture of the old Bear River Bridge (1949). I remember going across it when I was a kid and my mom was want a picture of it as well.

You have a gift of storytelling. I especially like the stories concerning Bear River. I am a distant relative of Herb and Jessie and was hoping you might include some history or stories of them as I have very little information on them. Thank so much for these stories.
